Alec Fernandez-Morales

Clinical Operations Director

Alec is a first-year medical student at New York Medical College. He has spent most of his life on the West Coast (and a couple of years in Nebraska) where he studied at George Fox University. His previous work with asylum-seeking and underserved populations inspired him to get involved at CHR. As the son of an immigrant himself, he has seen firsthand the struggles that people face when moving to a brand new country and how far a helping hand can go. Alec is also passionate about human rights, particularly the plight of the Palestinian people, and hopes that as co-director of Clinical Operations, he can make a difference in the lives of asylum seekers and the local community as a whole. In his free time, he enjoys wandering into new restaurants, reading, watching sports (COYS), and spending time with friends.
