Anne Frances Garana

Anne is currently a GSBMS student at New York Medical College with aspirations of becoming a physician. She was born in the Philippines and raised in the Bronx. Anne believes that human trafficking is an often overlooked human rights issue that goes unaddressed due to its unsettling nature. She is appalled by the reality that individuals are subjected to such pain, slavery, and exploitation, which she believes constitutes a profound violation of the essence and dignity of human life. Anne is drawn to NYMC CHR because she is eager to be part of a dedicated team actively working to combat and provide assistance, serving as advocates for those whose voices often go unheard. Together with NYMC CHR, Anne is confident that they can make a meaningful impact in the lives of survivors and contribute towards building a better tomorrow.
